“The faculty try their absolute hardest to give each individual student a clear path to success.”

Laura takes college seriously. Just like many other serious students, she knew she’d get hands-on experience as an intern in the workplace. What she didn’t know is that she also could find a possible future career.

During her summer, she interned with the Human Resources department of American Refining Group, an oil and energy company in Bradford.

“This internship has allowed me to gain a better understanding of the inner workings of HR. I am now seriously considering this field as a possible career path.”

Laura’s internship helped enhance her communication and critical-thinking skills, expand her knowledge of HR, and hone her judgment when making split-second decisions.

“The entire experience left me walking away with a clear sense of how to naturally act and react in business environments effectively.”

Laura wants to be effective in business, which is why she’s majoring in both business management and economics, programs she finds challenging, fascinating and inspiring.

“Every day I walk into class and I am guaranteed to be given a task or assignment that is going to challenge me and push my mind in a way that it never had before.”

Laura said each day she’s inspired by her classmates, her peers and the entire Pitt-Bradford community inspire to be the best version of herself.

“I constantly find myself striving to be a better, more well-rounded individual, both professionally and personally. Here, at Pitt-Bradford, we push each other to truly be the best we can be, and I could not ask for anything more.”
