Short Bio
Academic Focus
Lemnitzer's visual research is grounded in processes that reflect psychological content via traditional processes and new genres. The manipulation of ideas through color, processes, space, sound and the body to fabricate visual metaphors is a rich area of exploration. The psychological, physical and often intimate experience that is manufactured through art allows for the creation of understanding and awareness which allows for aesthetic communication and experience.
Lemnitzer has participated in exhibitions with such locations as the COCA Seattle and Call For Bushwick. She has a piece on permanent display at The University of Arizona, Optical Sciences Center. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally in solo and group art exhibitions such as Art at the X and National Wet Paint.
