    Staff Positions

    The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is seeking a part-time Athletic Trainer.  This is a four-month temporary position working approximately 18 hours a week.  Preferred start date is October 1, 2018, but can be negotiated.  The total salary for this position is $7,500.   

    Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in athletic training, master’s preferred; National Trainer’s Association Board of Certification; FBI Clearance, PA State Police background check, PA Department of Public Welfare Child Abuse Clearance. Strong writing skills, computer skills and ability to work nontraditional hours and travel when necessary.  Preference will be given to those with experience in clinical instructor/supervision at the college-athletic level. 

    Duties:  The Athletic Trainer will supervise and coordinate the overall injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, short-term and long-term rehabilitation, education and counseling, and athletics-related health care administration of all student-athletes in the wrestling program.  This will also include consultation with and under the supervision of the team physician and other qualified medical personnel.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining detailed and accurate medical files, and conducting inventories of medical supplies and all equipment.

    Master's or higher degree in an appropriate field, as well as relevant teaching experience. A bachelor's degree and relevant experience may be sufficient for selected technical or professional fields.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    Ph.D. and commitment to teaching undergraduates required. Responsibilities include teaching Introductory Biology lecture and labs, an upper-level Molecular Biology course for majors with a lab, and a non-majors biology course.
