  • We have a wide range of scholarships to help you with your education. Take a minute to review our list of scholarships. Then, you can make an appointment to meet with a financial aid counselor.

    If you are a Pennsylvania resident, you may be eligible to receive a Panther Scholarship.

    If you plan to live on campus, you may be eligible for a $7,200 annual scholarship if you: 

    • Are a new, admitted freshman and plan to enroll full time
    • Have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.5 (with college prep course work)
    • Have a combined SAT* score of 1230 (new test) or greater (or ACT score of 25 or greater)

    If you plan to live on campus, you may be eligible for a $5,200 annual scholarship if you: 

    • Are a new, admitted freshman and plan to enroll full time
    • Have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.5 (with college prep course work)
    • Have a combined SAT* score of 1030 (new test) or greater (or ACT score of 20 or greater)

    If you plan to commute, you may be eligible for a $1,000 annual scholarship if you:

    • Are a new, admitted freshman who plans to enroll full-time
    • Have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.5 
    • And have a combined SAT* score of 1030 (new test) greater (or ACT score of 20 or greater)

    If you are a transfer student and you plan to live on campus, you may be eligible for a $2,500 annual scholarship while you pursue your first undergraduate degree or for up to four consecutive years if you:

    • Have a combined and cumulative college GPA of 2.5 or higher
    • Have already earned at least 24 credits 
    • If you are a relocating student who is a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, you may be eligible for a PTK award of $500 per academic year.

    *The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford considers only the math and critical reading (formerly called verbal) portions of the new SAT to determine scholarship eligibility.

    Merit Scholarship Terms and Conditions

    If you are not a Pennsylvania resident, you may be eligible for a annual Panther Scholarship for Out-of-State Students. These annual scholarships are posted against out-of-state tuition only.(Except for new students from specific counties in New York, who qualify for our GO BEYOND NY STATE AWARD)

    If you plan to live on campus, you may be eligible for a $12,700 annual scholarship if you:

    • Are a new, admitted freshman and plan to enroll full time
    • Have a high school GPA of at least 2.5 (with college prep course work)
    • Have a combined SAT* score of 1230 (new test) or greater (or ACT score of 25 or greater)

    If you plan to live on campus, you may be eligible for a $10,700 annual scholarship if you:

    • Are a new, admitted freshman and plan to enroll full time
    • Have a high school GPA of at least 2.5 (with college prep course work)
    • Have a combined SAT* score of 1030 (new test) or greater (or ACT score of 20 or greater)

    If you are a transfer student and plan to live on campus, you may be eligible for a $9,500 annual Panther Scholarship for Out-of-State Students if you:

    • Plan to enroll full time
    • Have a combined and cumulative college transfer GPA of at least 2.5
    • Have earned at least 24 credits
    • If you are a relocating student who is a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, you may be eligible for a PTK award of $500 per academic year. 

    This annual scholarship is awarded for up to four consecutive years or until you complete your bachelor's degree, whichever comes first.

    Merit Scholarship Terms and Conditions

     

    If you are a new incoming student from one of the counties above, you may quality for the Go Beyond NYS Award that enables students to pay the same standard tuition as PA students instead of the higher out-of-state tuition:

    That's a savings starting at $11,468 a year.

    To qualify you need to:

    • Live in one of those New York counties
    • Be a new student
    • Be a full-time student
    • Maintain at least a 2.25 grade point average throughout your four years at Pitt-Bradford.

    The award applies only for eight consecutive Fall and Spring terms (four years) and cannot be used for courses taken during the summer. You should also be aware of the award terms and conditions.

    Many students are already taking advantage of this award.

    Because of the special relationship that exists between Pitt-Bradford and Pitt-Titusville, qualified Pitt-Titusville students are eligible for special enhanced annual Panther Scholarships when they relocate directly to Pitt-Bradford. If you have one of the following:

    • An associate’s degree from Pitt Titusville
    • Minimum 60 earned credits at Pitt Titusville and a 2.5 cumulative grade point average, or
    • Minimum 45 earned credits at Pitt Titusville and a 3.0 cumulative grade point average

    You may be eligible for a:

    • $5,500 annual Panther Scholarship is you are a PA student who plans to live on campus
    • $1,000 annual Panther Scholarship if you are a PA student who plans to commute
    • $11,000 annual Panther Scholarship if you're an out-of-state student who plans to live on campus 
    • If you are a relocating student who is a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, you may be eligible for a PTK award of $500 per academic year. 

      This scholarship is awarded for up to four consecutive years or until you complete your bachelor's degree, whichever comes first.

      If you do not meet the criteria listed above, please refer to the Panther Scholarship for PA Students or the Panther Scholarship for Out-of-State Student tabs also located on this page.

      For those Pitt-Titusville students who are residents of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua or Erie Counties in NY State, you may qualify for the Go Beyond NY State Award in lieu of the Panther Scholarship.

      NOTE: These awards do not apply to students who remain at Pitt-Titusville in Pitt-Bradford's bachelor’s degree completion programs, nor do they apply to students relocating to Pitt-Bradford from the other campuses of the University of Pittsburgh.   

      Merit Scholarship Terms and Conditions

      If you are an international student (non-U.S. citizen) entering Pitt-Bradford in fall of 2019, you may be eligible to receive a Panther Room and Board Scholarship for International Students. Your scholarship will cover all costs associated with our average double-room occupancy and average meal plan (260 meals/10 guest meals.)

      For international students living on campus, you may be eligible for an annual Room and Board Scholarship of $9,612  if you:

      • Are a new, admitted freshman and plan to enroll full time
      • Must have a secondary school cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.5 (U.S. equivalent)
      • Must have a TOEFL score of at least 100
      • Must have taken the SAT test and received a combined math and ERW (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing) score of at least 1030. If you take the ACT, your composite score must at least 20   


      If you are transferring from another international institution entering Pitt-Bradford in fall, and if you live on campus, you may be eligible for an annual Room and Board Scholarship of $9,612  if you: 

      • Apply as a full time student
      • Must live on campus
      • Show proof of high school graduation (complete with graduation date)
      • Must have an overall GPA from all other post-secondary institutions attended of at least 2.50 (US equivalent)
      • Must have earned at least 24 credits
      • Must have an overall TOEFL score of at least 100
      • Do not have to take an SAT or ACT test

      The award is renewable each year for four years as long as you maintain eligibility.

      If you are an official member of the Seneca Nation, you may be eligible to receive a $1,000 book award -- $500 each semester toward the purchase of books and supplies at our Panther Shop.

      To be eligible, you need to:

      • Provide documentation of your Seneca Nation membership (tribal ID card)
      • Be enrolled full time


      Also, if you qualify for one of our merit awards, the $1,000 will be added to that award.

      The award is renewable each year for four years as long as you maintain eligibility.

      If you are a new transfer student as well as a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, you may receive a PTK award that is equal to $500 per year over and above any other award you may be eligible to receive.

      To be eligible, you need to:

      • Enter with 2.5 GPA & 24 credits earned
      • Maintain a 2.25 GPA to retain award for a max of 3 years.

      The award is renewable each year for four years as long as you maintain eligibility

      These privately funded scholarships range from $200 to $3,000 and are awarded to eligible returning students based on specifications pre-determined by the individual donors. Donor scholarships are made possible by the generosity of various individuals, clubs, organizations, industries and foundations. Review our eligibility requirements.

      Current students and new incoming students who have committed to Pitt-Bradford  have access to Pitt's searchable scholarship database, PittFund$Me. Log into my.pitt.edu and click on the PittFund$Me link to access the tool. Respond to questions in PittFund$Me to discover what you are eligible to apply for and unlock your scholarship matches!

      We encourage you to explore all the opportunities for financial support from your local community. Funding sources and agencies include:

      The Internet is a great place for free scholarship search services like fastweb and others.

      If you receive a scholarship or grant from a source other than the federal or state government or Pitt-Bradford, you need to report that award to our office. You can do so by sending a written statement providing information about the outside scholarship/grant or by sending us notification you received from the organization that made the award. We are required by the federal government to monitor the total amount of financial aid each student receives from all sources.

      Army ROTC scholarships range from 2-4 years depending on graduation date.

      All scholarship recipients enjoy the same benefits:

      • 100% payment of tuition or $10,000 for room and board per year
      • A $600 per-semester cadet book allowance
      • A tax-free monthly stipend of up to $500

       

      To apply for a scholarship you must:

      • Be a U.S. citizen 
      • Be between 17 and 26.
      • Have a high school GPA of at least 2.50 
      • Be a high school graduate or equivalent 
      • Score a minimum of 920 on the SAT (math/verbal) or 19 on the ACT (excluding the required test scores)
      • Meet physical standards 
      • Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on active duty or in a reserve component (Army Reserve or Army National Guard)

       

      Your Commitment:

      • Serve full time in the Army for four years and four years with the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) or
      • Choose to serve part time for six years in the Army Reserve or National Guard while pursuing a civilian career.
      • Either option incurs an eight-year service commitment to the Army.
