Short Bio
Chad Hockaday moved to Bradford from Charleston, South Carolina in the Summer of 2022, when he began his career at Pitt-Bradford as the Office Manager for the Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs. For two years, Chad has developed a strong interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as a passion for student advocacy and a drive to see others succeed. These qualities led to an interim assignment in disability resources for the Fall 2024 semester before his appointment as Coordinator of Equity and Accessibility under the Office of Inclusion and Belonging.
Chad firmly believes in personal identity and wishes for students to be proud of what makes them who they are. He echoes the University of Pittsburgh's commitment to equal opportunities for all students, and wishes to maintain a culture of inclusion, acceptance and respect at Pitt-Bradford through education, celebration, and advocacy.
Chad and his partner, Mackenzie, live in Eldred, PA with their dog and two cats. Aside from his work, Chad is an enthusiast of trivia, language learning, film and television, and tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons.
