Short Bio

He is a mechanical engineer and an engineering educator with years and tons of research and teaching experience, including in industry and academia areas. He has taught many undergraduate and graduate courses, and he also worked as the course coordinator, ME laboratory instructor, and served assessment committee for years.

He cares about your success far more than you can imagine. Every improvement in your learning progress is a big award for him.

Open communication is what he seeks from his students and colleagues.

He is more than happy to share with students about my teaching philosophy and thoughts about career choices, etc. There are so many students who benefited from their conversations with him, even though only a small portion of them were willing to let him know, it is still a huge number, let along those who didn't tell him.

Academic Focus

Renewable energy, Enhanced heat transfer, Combustion/Gasification/Pyrolysis, Undergraduate engineering teaching and learning, Cognitive and metacognitive intervention, Novice and expert, etc.
