Short Bio

Tom Slagle is an Assistant Professor of Composition. He holds a PhD in Literacy and Rhetoric from Kent State University and an MA in English with a focus in professional and technical writing from Youngstown State University. His research interests include corpus linguistics, developmental writing instruction, and transfer pedagogies.

Academic Focus

Tom's areas of expertise include applied linguistics, the design and instruction of developmental and first-year writing curricula, and professional and technical writing.
