Alexa Holleran ’18
Bachelor’s degree in psychology
Mental health specialist at UPMC McKeesport
Alexa loves her job as a mental health specialist, assisting patients with anything they need and providing therapeutic groups for them. She credits the work she did as a psychology major with helping prepare her for her career. “We researched a lot and had many projects, which has helped me today as I assist patients with their mental health.”
The research and projects weren’t the only aspects of college that helped prepare her for life after graduation. “I had small classes, which helped me have better one-on-one relationships with my professors and helped me learn.” Alexa says being active in campus life – joining a sorority, sports teams and clubs -- also helped her acclimate to college. “It helped me make friends with important people who are in my life today.”
Pitt-Bradford helped me find my career, which I love performing every day.
