Kayla Challingsworth ‘23
Bachelor’s degree in English Education 7-12
English Language Arts teacher at Kane Middle School

Kayla Challingsworth wanted to be a teacher.
After completing a year of general education courses at a local community college, she transferred to Pitt-Bradford, which she said was the perfect choice.
Challingsworth grew up in a small community in Elk County, PA. She was a little hesitant about leaving the comfort of that small-town atmosphere, so she chose a college campus that had a small-town feel.
“With such a similar environment, I was able to thrive at Pitt-Bradford and achieve my goal: leading the next generation in my own community as an educator.”
Challingsworth graduated from Pitt-Bradford in December 2023. A month later, she was employed full-time as an 8th grade English language arts teacher at Kane Middle School, a position she holds today.
“I wake up each morning eager to go to work. Pitt-Bradford helped me realize and achieve my true passion in life: teaching.”
