Tyler Babinski ’23
Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and technology
Clinical Research Assistant II at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
Tyler Babinski had a crazy idea.
He wanted to build a weather station with sensors that would collect data every 30 seconds and transmit it to the National Weather Service. So, he took his idea to the folks in the George B. Duke Engineering and Information Technologies Building, where crazy ideas turn into great projects.
Using the makerspace in the Duke Building, Tyler designed and printed a protective box for the weather station that was capable of withstanding harsh weather.
The Duke Building is cool
Tyler said, "but I only scratched the surface of what it has to offer. Future students will be able to do amazing things."
After graduation, Tyler got a job working as a clinical research assistant at Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia.
