Advent organ recital Dec. 7 in chapel

Organist Roland Martin will be featured at the Ninth Annual Advent and Christmas Organ Recital from noon to 1:15 p.m. Dec. 7.
The event will take place on the Sarah B. Dorn Organ in the Harriett B. Wick Chapel and is free and open to the public.
Martin is an internationally known organist, composer and conductor from Buffalo, N.Y. He serves on the music faculties of the University at Buffalo, Canisius College and Buffalo Seminary. Since 1992, he has served as organist, choirmaster and director of music at St. Joseph University Parish in Buffalo. Additionally, he is the artistic director of the Freudig Singers in Western New York.
Martin has given recitals throughout the United States, including the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and has performed in Canada, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, England and Belgium.
Baritone Robert E. Gerst will perform alongside Martin, singing a number of carols.
