Community members are invited to campus for a variety of events, including the Career Networking Luncheon, Light up the Quad, and alumni athletic events.
Events begin at 11:30 a.m. Friday with the Career Networking Luncheon in the Mukaiyama University Room of the Frame-Westerberg Commons.
Jennifer Lewke '05 will be the speaker. She is an award-winning investigative reporter for WHEC in Rochester, N.Y., who has spent more than a decade exposing government corruption, taxpayer waste and consumer fraud in New York State.
Cost of the luncheon is $10. Advanced reservations are required and may be made by visiting www.upb.pitt.edu/afw or by calling the Pitt-Bradford Office of Institutional Advancement at (814)362-5091.
Later that evening, join students, families, alumni, faculty and staff for Light up the Quad from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Bromeley Family Quadrangle. Come Enjoy a French fry bar, music, mocktails, and more.
The event is free to attend, but attendees are encouraged to bring a single-use toiletry or food item for the “Panther Pack the Pantry Challenge.” Advance registration required, contact the Office of Institutional Advancement for more information.
Alumni Athletic Events start on Friday at 8:30 a.m. with the Alumni Athlete Kickball game at the Kessel Athletic Complex, all alumni, students, and families are invited to be spectators.
Saturday kicks off with the Men's Alumni Basketball Game at 11 a.m. in the KOA Arena. At the same time, the Alumni Swim Meet will be held in the Aquatic Center. At noon, the Bradford Pumpkin Fest begins in downtown Bradford. The event will include the Pitt Kids Zone, a marketplace, live bands, and food brought to you by the community of Bradford.
At 5:30 p.m., the Pitt-Bradford Alumni Association will hold its annual awards dinner in the Mukaiyama University Room.
The alumni association will present Mary and Francis Mulcahy with its annual Teaching Excellence Award and honor Frank '64-'66 and Mary '64-'66 Rizzo with its Distinguished Volunteer Award.
The dinner is $25 per person. Children ages 6 to 12 are $12, and those 5 and younger are free. For reservations, contact the Office of Institutional Advancement.
