Campus recognizes 32 staff members for years of service

Pitt-Bradford will honor 32 staff members with service anniversaries at a dinner to be held Thursday, Jan. 28.

Facilities worker Jeffrey P. Armstrong will be remembered for 40 years of service. Armstrong died unexpectedly in October. He began working part-time at Pitt-Bradford in 1971 as a 16-year-old and worked personally for the university's first president, Dr. Donald Swarts.

Being recognized for 35 years of service will be Mark Burns, assistant director of campus police and safety; Vicky Pingie, associate director of admissions; and Donald Johnson, mail carrier, three of the longest serving members of Pitt-Bradford's staff.

Recognized for 30 years of service will be Karen L. Strotman, enrollment services assistant, and Sharie Radzavich, administrative assistant for the Division of Communications and the Arts.

Richard T. Esch, vice president of business affairs, will be recognized for 20 years.

Recognized for 15 years of service will be Dr. James L. Baldwin, vice president of enrollment management; Pat Frantz Cercone, executive director of communications and marketing; Susan R. Gleason, director of academic advising; Tad M. Haight, assistant director of admissions; and Steven D. Ellison, technical analyst II and an instructor in the computer information science and technology program.

Those recognized for 10 years of service will be Judy A. Cameron, administrative assistant for the Academic Coaching and Tutoring Center; Mandy J. Colosimo, administrative assistant for the Financial Aid Office; Carma L. Horner, disability resources and services coordinator; Cynthia A. Nowacki, assistant director of admissions; Julie A. McGuire, accounting specialist; Emily A. Parana, technical analyst II; Steven E. Williams, senior accountant; Elizabeth Cleland Greville, counselor; Jean A. Luciano, interlibrary loan and cataloguing specialist; Dianna Beaver, acquisitions/special collections specialist in Hanley Library; and Laurie B. Dennis, administrative assistant for the Division of Biological and Health Sciences.

Employees recognized for five years will be Jill M. Ballard, executive director of institutional advancement; Raymond R. Geary Jr., executive director of the Division of Continuing Education and Regional Development; Timothy G. Sneeringer, director of recreation, intramurals and aquatics; Stacie A. Salerno, administrative assistant for TRIO Student Support Services; Shawn W.T. Murray, manager of advancement operations; Amber T. Black, campus police officer; Alan Hancock, online store associate for The Panther Shop; Roxie Vanderpoel, switchboard operator and secretary; and Dr. Ronald S. Binder, associate dean of student affairs.
