Delaney earns Certified Research Administrator designation

Linda Delaney, assistant director of sponsored programs, has earned the Certified Research Administrator.

Granted by the Research Administrators Certification Council, the designation requires that applicants take and pass an exam demonstrating a level of knowledge necessary to be a professional research or sponsored programs administrator.

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree and three years’ experience or the equivalent experience to be eligible to take the test.

In addition to her role as coordinator of sponsored programs, Delaney is the manager of payroll.

She coordinates post-award accounting for the university’s sponsored programs and processes student and part-time faculty payroll.

In addition, she is the author of “The Gamble for Glory in the World’s First Billion Dollar Oilfield,” published in July 2007, and enjoys writing for local publications like the university’s alumni magazine, Portraits, and the Tuna Valley Trails newsletter.

She and her husband, Jerry, live in Bradford.
