Employees honored for milestone anniversaries

Kathy Moonan celebrates more than 45 years of service

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford honored members of its faculty and staff celebrating milestone anniversaries at a special recognition dinner held Oct. 29.

Kathy Moonan, director of business affairs, who is the longest-serving member of the Pitt-Bradford staff, was honored for more than 45 years of service. She plans to retire later this year. In addition to her official role in business affairs, Moonan coordinates food concessions at the Kessel Athletic Complex to help Panthers’ athletics teams raise money and is a regular in the stands cheering on teams.

Recognized for 40 years of service was Bill Kline, director of Computing, Telecommunications and Media Services. Kline also teaches as an adjunct instructor in Pitt-Bradford’s computer information systems and technology program.

Diane Null, data coordinator in the Office of Enrollment Management, was recognized for 30 years of service.

Faculty and staff recognized for 25 years of service were Bret A. Butler, director of intercollegiate athletics and recreation; Robert J. Ellison, systems architect; Tammy R. Luciano, administrative assistant in business affairs who retired Oct. 18; Dr. Donald I. Ulin, associate professor of English; Dr. Mary Mulcahy, associate professor of biology; and Dr. Lauren E. Yaich, associate professor of biology.

Those honored for 20 years were Deborah A. Soyke, assistant director of financial aid; Tina M. Phillips, assistant director of athletics and head coach of women’s softball; and Mary A. Dinger, assistant professor of nursing.

Employees reaching the 15 years of service mark were Jackie Bosworth, administrative assistant for facilities management, and Dr. Y. Ken Wang, associate professor of computer information systems and technology.

Finally, those marking 10 years of service were Christine L. Tyler, executive director of philanthropic and alumni engagement; Shawn M. Llewellyn, purchasing manager; Kevin D. Niver, maintenance worker II; Shannon M. Ridenour, financial assistant and office manager in the Office of Student Engagement; Dr. Helma de Vries-Jordan, associate professor of political science; John J. Crawford, assistant professor of accounting and finance; and Orin A. James, assistant professor of biology.
