Entrepreneurship program donates Start-Up Backpacks
Pitt-Bradford's Entrepreneurship Program presented 17 public libraries with business start-up backpacks at the quarterly meeting of the libraries’ Seneca District.
Each backpack contains four books on various aspects of starting a business.
“We wanted to make materials on starting businesses easily available throughout our rural region,” said Laura Megill, director of the Entrepreneurship Program at Pitt-Bradford. “Libraries are readily accessible to everyone and are often the first place people go to research their business start-up ideas.”
Patrons will be able to check out the entire backpack, which includes “Start Your Own Business: The Only Start-up Book You’ll Ever Need” by the staff of Entrepreneur Press, “Finance and Grow Your New Business: Get a Grip on the Money” by Angie Mohr, “How to Write a Business Plan” by Mike McKeever, and “Legal Guide for Starting and Running a Small Business” by Fred S. Steingold.
Those libraries receiving backpacks were in Emporium, Johnsonburg, Ridgway, St. Marys, Wilcox, Marienville, Tionesta, Bradford, Kane, Mount Jewett, Port Allegany, Smethport, Sheffield, Sugar Grove, Tidioute, Warren and Youngsville.
Entrepreneurs can find additional help from the Pitt-Bradford Business Resource Center and Division of Continuing Education and Regional Development.
