Faculty recognized for years of service

Pitt-Bradford recently recognized five members of its faculty who are celebrating milestone service anniversaries this year.

Andrea Robbins, instructor of chemistry, was recognized for 35 years of service. In addition to general chemistry, Robbins also teaches college algebra. In 2008, she received the Chairs' Faculty Teaching Award.

Dr. Jon Draeger, associate professor of chemistry, was honored for 30 years of service. Before teaching at Pitt-Bradford, Draeger worked with the Department of Energy. He teaches general and physical chemistry.

Recognized for 15 years of service were Dr. Marius Buliga, associate professor of mathematics, and Dr. Greg Page, associate professor of psychology.

Buliga teaches calculus and linear algebra. His research interests include graph theory and the use of mathematical software for teaching math at an undergraduate level.

Page is the director of the psychology program and has worked in various inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, including prisons, forensic hospitals, juvenile detention centers, psychiatric hospitals, drug and alcohol centers and outpatient behavioral health centers.

Dr. David Merwine, associate professor of biology, also was honored for 10 years of service. He teaches human anatomy and physiology, animal physiology and other special topics.
