Landmesser named new alumni director
Formerly served as admissions counselor
The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford has hired 2010 graduate Caleb Landmesser as its new director of alumni engagement to cultivate connections between alumni and the university.
Before being named as alumni director, Landmesser served as an admissions counselor at his alma mater, where he recruited students to Pitt-Bradford from eastern Pennsylvania and New York City.
In his new position, Landmesser will lead the alumni engagement office in building connections between Pitt-Bradford alumni and the university through events, planning, fundraising and communications.
He will report to the executive director of philanthropic and alumni engagement, Christy Clark.
“Caleb is a very passionate Pitt-Bradford alumnus and employee, and we are so excited to see the great things he will accomplish in philanthropic and alumni engagement,” she said.
Landmesser said, “Pitt-Bradford has a dedicated and passionate alumni group. I look forward to building new relationships between alumni, the university and current students, as well as strengthening the bonds that have already formed.”
Landmesser has worked in several positions requiring exceptional organizational skills, including as head varsity boys’ basketball coach at Kane Area School District, a position he has held for three years. Prior to that, he served as head junior varsity coach and assistant varsity coach in the district.
Before coming to Pitt-Bradford, he served as a quality assurance technician for Georgia Pacific in Mount Jewett, which included traveling to various plants to perform safety, quality and performance audits and leading several process improvement projects.
He is a member of the current cohort of participants in Leadership McKean, an organization dedicated to developing and identifying civic and professional leaders, and a member of the board of Rising Leaders of Bradford, also known as RISE.
Originally from upstate New York, he lives in Kane, with his wife, Jen, a 2011 Pitt-Bradford graduate, and their two cats, Archie and Edith.
