Pitt-Bradford has named Ryan K. Sowers as its new assistant director for annual giving.
A 2015 graduate of Bowling Green State University, Sowers was an intern with Bowling Green's corporate and foundation relations and served as the chairman and founder of the university's first undergraduate capital campaign, raising $40,000 in two years while being involved in other campus organizations.
He attended Bowling Green on a full scholarship through the Alumni Laureate Scholarship program for leadership, merit, academics and volunteerism. In May, the Bowling Green ice hockey team awarded him the Dr. Tom Wojciechowski Recognition Award for reviving the student section, the Bleacher Creatures.
“I hope to continue growing the annual giving program and bring more donations into the university,” Sowers said. “I'd also like to create a stronger student giving program. I'm excited, humbled and honored to be a part of Pitt-Bradford and cannot wait for the academic year to begin.”
In his spare time, Sowers likes to play guitar, cook and watch hockey.
