Pitt-Bradford signs articulation agreement with JCC for general studies degree program

Pitt-Bradford and Jamestown Community College have signed a transfer agreement enabling students with an associate degree to seamlessly transfer into Pitt-Bradford’s bachelor’s of arts degree program in general studies.

The two colleges have also updated their other articulation agreements, which prepare JCC graduates for entry into Pitt-Bradford bachelor’s degree programs in accounting, applied mathematics, biology, biology education (7-12), broadcast communications, business, computer, and information technology (K-12), business management, chemistry, chemistry education (7-12), computer information systems and technology, criminal justice, early level education (pre-K), economics, English education (7-12), environmental education (7-12), environmental studies, health and physical education (7-12), history/political science, hospitality management, human relations, interdisciplinary arts, mathematics education (7-12), nursing, psychology, public relations, social sciences, social studies education (7-12), sociology, sport and recreation management, sports medicine, and writing.

Each agreement guarantees acceptance of JCC students who successfully complete up to 75 transferable credit hours and meet other requirements specific to each bachelor’s degree program.

The agreements also stipulate junior standing for students who transfer a minimum of 60 credit hours, and guarantee the opportunity to complete the bachelor’s degree in four semesters at Pitt-Bradford to JCC students who complete specified courses as part of their associate degree.

Pitt-Bradford has a student enrollment of 1,500 students and offers 42 majors and more than 50 minors.
