Erth's Visual and Physical Inc. will return to Pitt-Bradford with another fantastical trip to prehistoric times.
Erth's Prehistoric Aquarium Adventure will swim across the stage of the Bromeley Family Theater at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5. This innovative show will explore the amazing creatures that once inhabited the ocean depths 65 million years ago. The theater is in Blaisdell Hall. Tickets are $10 each, and a limited amount remain.
Erth's Visual and Physical was founded in Australia but has migrated shows to the United States to allow families to witness prehistoric animals that thrived eons ago. Their productions have been seen internationally at events such as the Sydney Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, the Singapore Arts Festival, as well as the Shanghai World Expo.
The show uses actors, science, technology, and most impressively, giant puppets to make paleontology come alive to young show goers. Pitt-Bradford presented Erth's Dinosaur Zoo in May 2017.
Real life and large scale puppets are used to showcase some of the marine reptiles in this
Aquarium Adventure. The show uses a style of puppetry called 'Bunraku,' which originated in Japan more than 400 years ago. The style allows the audience to see the master puppeteers at work, unlike most traditional methods.
