“The Missing Element” to take place in Bromeley Family Theater

the missing element performance

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will present a night of high-energy dance when “The Missing Element” featuring The Beatbox House is performed at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 28 in the Bromeley Family Theater of Blaisdell.

This family-friendly show is a fusion of sound and movement, exploring the universal elements of earth, wind, fire, water and space in a unique way.

“The Missing Element” brings together some of the most awe-inspiring street dancers from the krump, flexn and breaking communities with the virtuosic vocal percussionists of The Beatbox House. Known for its incredible ability to create music and sound with nothing but human bodies, this group delivers an immersive, all-human-powered performance. The production is an adventure of sound and dance as dancers and beatboxers collaborate to find “The Missing Element.”

Commissioned by Works & Process, “The Missing Element” challenges the boundaries of sound and movement, creating a rich, dynamic performance environment that explores the elements in a deeply original way.

The event will take place in the Bromeley Family Theater in Blaisdell Hall and is designed for audiences of all ages to enjoy. Tickets are available to the public for $20 and students of all ages for $5.
