Visitation days planned for Columbus, Veterans days

Visit includes panel discussion, tour and lunch

Pitt-Bradford will welcome prospective students and their families to campus for visitation days on Oct. 14 and Nov. 11.

This year's visitation days take place on Columbus Day (also marked as Indigenous Peoples Day) and Veterans Day.

“Lots of schools are closed for these holidays, and lots of parents have a holiday from work, so these are convenient times for prospective students to visit,” said Vicky Pingie, associate director of admissions.

The visitation day events start at 10 a.m. with a general admissions presentation. The presentation will be followed by a student panel to discuss campus life. A tour of campus and lunch in the dining hall will close out the day.

Those unable to attend the visitation days may also come for open house events on Oct. 19 and Nov. 2, which include a meet-and-greet with faculty from various disciplines, a tour of the campus and panel presentation by current students.

Anyone interested or in need of more information for any of the events can either register online at www.upb.pitt.edu/visit/ or call the admissions office at 800-872-1787.
