Maeve Matheson ’25
Business Management major
Maeve Matheson ‘25 discovered her passion for insurance sales during her internship at Devon Kloss State Farm Insurance in Bradford, P.A.
“My boss is a family friend, and we ended up talking about insurance as a good fit for my degree.”
After completing the state-proctored exam, Maeve became a licensed property and casualty producer. This license enables her to offer various insurance policies such as autos, homeowners, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, personal articles, and umbrella insurance.
Maeve is also pursuing additional licenses in health and life insurance to branch out and broaden her expertise.
To Maeve, being a producer is more than just selling insurance— it’s about helping people protect their assets while saving them money wherever she can. However, that can also be a challenge.
“When you can’t find a way to save somebody some money, it’s not as fulfilling as when you can help someone.”
Maeve has built connections and experience at State Farm, which have empowered her to realize her goal of opening her own insurance agency someday.
“I’d like to continue with insurance and see where it takes me. While I’m working toward that, I’d love to continue here at State Farm—I’ve been able to build great connections with my coworkers, and the environment is great. It’s a great way to work up to having my own agency.”
