Affordability

Almost all of our students who apply for financial aid – 95.1% – receive some form of assistance. That means their actual cost to attend is less than the established tuition and fees. That ranks us 1st for 4-year colleges and universities in Pennsylvania in the average amount of aid awarded.

We're a great value. For the 2024-25 school year, the average financial aid award was:

   $22,994 for Pennsylvania students
   $30,158 for out-of-state students

We also hold the following rankings compared to all public 4-year colleges and universities in Pennsylvania:

  • 3rd most affordable room and board plans
  • 4th highest percentage of students receiving financial aid
  • 10th lowest average graduate student debt

Here are examples of three different kinds of students: an in-state student living on campus, an out-of-state student living on campus, and an in-state student commuting. The examples below are based on the 2024-25 year rates, and will give you an idea of what you may pay. Keep in mind that your actual cost to attend may vary.
